Patricia Higton
Patricia
Higton
is a theological graduate and was an RE teacher. She has fulfilled many
parochial roles including parish prayer co-ordinator and evangelism
co-ordinator. Then she became mission co-ordinator developing what became Time
Ministries International – a church development ministry. She ministered
directly to 1000 churches and developed resources for hundreds more, developing
resources, organising and co-leading with Tony conferences for clergy and lay
leaders on church development (for anything between 30-300 participants), in 14
countries in addition to the UK.
She became a Reader and has ministered in two previous parishes. In Jerusalem
she was Prayer Coordinator for the Church’s Ministry among Jewish people, edited
their publications and managed Christ Church Centre, Jerusalem. She is now the
congregational leader at All Saints, but preaches monthly at St Mary’s.
She enjoys walking in the country, gardening, reading and Sudoku.

Tony Kendall
Born
in 1930, I joined the Royal Engineers in 1949 and enjoyed an adventurous
military career
before retiring
in 1985. I am
married to Elizabeth and we have three children
in their forties. On leaving the Army I helped the Leonard Cheshire Foundation
to convert a Victorian manor on the Royal Estate at Sandringham into a hotel for
disabled people, subsequently became General Manager and stayed for 10 years.
I
was
licensed as a Reader in 2000 after 3 years training and have been churchwarden
for 6 years. I coordinate the parish fundraising team and enjoy organising
events. I am chairman of a national charity supporting a large medical
enterprise in Bangladesh and local secretary for the Campaign to Protect Rural
England. I find lay ministry in the parish very fulfilling, while reading, golf
and hill walking are favourite recreations.

Mike Calver
Born in South Wootton in 1941, I lived there
with my grandparents for 22 years until I married Sylvia in 1965. I was brought
up Methodist and came to the Anglican church when I was confirmed in 1984. For
five years I was chairman/driver of the voluntary community bus service for the
Docking area until we moved to Roydon in 1985. I am retired from my work as an
electrician, having spent the last 25 years in the NHS. In 1992 I was elected as
a trustee for the Trinity Hospital Castle Rising, representing Roydon parish,
which, in turn, brought me to the Church in the Woottons, and particularly All
Saints Church. Sylvia and I are both sacristans and I was recently authorised as
chalice assistant. My main interests are gardening, DIY, military history and
reading.

am a member of the Choir and Mothers Union. My interests outside the church
include classical music, Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, gardening, needlework

Educated at Norwich School and King’s College London, reading Theology, I am
