Legal Matters

Both Bride and Groom must be over 16 and require
parental consent if they are under 18.

Either Bride or Groom must normally live in our
parish or be on the Electoral Roll.

Procedure
-
Ring the Rector to discuss dates.
-
If you have been married before or are not a British
Citizen, the Rector will arrange to see you before a
wedding can be booked.
-
The Rector will send you a Wedding Application Form
-
Return the Wedding Application Form to the Rectory
as soon as possible thus confirming the wedding
date.
-
The Rector will invite you to a Wedding Preparation
Day
-
Nearer the Wedding Date the Priest taking your
wedding will arrange to see you for a Wedding
interview to deal with the background to and details
of the Service (hymns, music, choir, flowers,
photographs, video, etc.

Just before the Wedding date the Priest taking your
wedding will arrange to see you for a Wedding
Rehearsal.
Wedding Hymns
It is normal to choose two or three hymns and they need
to be well known to family and friends who will attend
the Wedding.
