Before coming to the Woottons, Tony Higton was for some
years General Director of the Church of England’s
long-established ministry among Jewish people. He was
also Rector of Christ Church in the Old City of
Jerusalem.
Whilst there he developed a deep concern for
reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians. He
researched the situation in depth, speaking with both
Israelis and Palestinians. He then began to produce a
free email newsletter which keeps people up to date with
the situation and helps them to take the needs, pain and
fears of both sides seriously. The newsletter has been
highly commended by Middle East experts, including a
former Archbishop of Canterbury and his envoy to the
Middle East.
