Why Not Be Confirmed?

If you were christened (baptised) as an infant you won’t remember anything about it!  Your parents made solemn promises on you behalf, but they’re ultimately only really meaningful in later life if you remake them for yourself.

Christening (Baptism) is meant to lead on to Confirmation. Why not decide to do this? Confirmation is a service where the Bishop comes and prays for each candidate, laying his hands on their head and praying for the blessing of God’s Spirit.

We’re planning to have a Confirmation Service so why not get in touch with the Rector who will explain the details and the preparation course.  There’s no obligation and if you start out but don’t want to continue, you’re free to do so. Anyone from teenage to old age can be confirmed. We’ve seen people in their 80s be confirmed. FOR DETAILS – RING 01553 671381
